Marvellous celebration of the opening of our new office space last night. Good crowd, stimulating talks and warm company.

Thanks to Timor-Leste Ambassador to Australia, Abel Guterres, and the Director of the Columban Mission Society, Fr Gary Walker, for being with us on the night. Thanks also to our CHART Board chairman, Bill Armstrong AO, for directing the formal proceedings.

A big ‘thank you’ to those who helped us set up and run the event, especially Claire Woods, Michael Noone, Julia Waddingham, Ken Koutsoumally, Rod Harris, Sue Gordon and Ian Thomas.

The St Columban Mission Society has generously provided us with office space to continue and expand our work to preserve Timor archival materials and provide access in Timor-Leste.

We invite all friends and supporters to help us celebrate this important event.

Update: Abel Guterres, Timor-Leste’s Ambassador to Australia, will attend.

Event will include:

Archival document display and tour of workplace

Audiovisual presentation on CHART work

Open discussion on CHART program

Meet CHART’s Board of Management

Food and refreshments provided
